OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING a By-law to temporarily close
Yonge Street, within the Town of
Aurora, for a parade.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to temporarily close up and stop

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Yonge Street (Highway No. 11) be temporaily closed
upcto through traffic in the Town of Aurora, on Saturday
November 17th, 1984, from the north side of the Henderson
Drive/Allaura Blvd. intersection and the intersection of
Aurora Heights Drive/Mark Street from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
2. THAT the York Region Police and the Town of Aurora Public
Works Department be empowered to do all acts of assisting
traffic during this time period to allow the safe movement
of the parade on Yonge Street and alternate traffic routing.

Enclosed herewith in duplicate is Order made pursuant to
subsection 169(3) of the Highway Traffic Act RSO 1980 ch.
198 by the Honourable James snow, Minister of
Transportation and Communications, authorizing the
temporary closing of a section of Hwy. #11 on November
17th, 1984 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. in
order to facilitate the Town of Aurora holding their
annual Santa Clause Parade; on the undertaking that
adequate detour is provided for through Traffic.

I hereby direct the closing of portion of Yonge street
(Highway No. 11) to through traffic on November 17th,
1984, from the north side of Henderson Drive and the
intersection of Aurora Heights Drive from 2:00 p.m. to
4:00 p.m. to facilitate the town holding a Santa Clause
parade pursuant to subsection 169(3) of the Highway
Traffic Act, R,S,O, 1980, ch,l98, on the understanding
that adequate detour will be provided for through traffic.
