BY-LAW 2793-85
OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING a By-Law to provide for an
additional advance poll for the
1985 Municipal Election.
WHEREAS the Provision of Section 66 (2) of the Municipal Election
Act, 1977 provide that Council may by By-law provide for the
holding of additional advance polls;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora
deems it expedient to hold an additional advance poll during the
1985 municipal election.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
(l) THAT there shall be an additional advance poll held
which shall be open from 9:00 o'clock in the forenoon
until 8:00 o'clock in the afternoon pn Saturday,
November 9th, 1985 for the purpose of receiving votes
of electors who expect to be unable to vote on polling
day in the polling subdivisions for which their names
appear on the polling lists or who are entitled to
vote by a certificate issued under Section 33 or who
became entitled to vote under Section 56 of the said
Act.
(2) THAT the Clerk shall be directed to provide an appropriate
polling place and shall appoint a Deputy Returning Officer
and Poll Clerk for the polling place.
(3) THAT the provision of this By-law shall c0me into force
and be effective upon final passage thereof.
