OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING a By-law to temporarily close
Yonge Street (Highway No. 11) in the
Town of Aurora, on June 9th, 1984,
for the purpose of a. parade.
WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the CorpoDation of the Town of
Aurora deems it expedient to close Yonge Street in the Town of
Aurora for the purpose of a parade to be held June 9th, 1984;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Yonge Street(Highway No. 11) be temporarily closed
up to through traffic on June 9th:, 1984 from the north
side of Cousins Drive to the intersection of Aurora
Heights Drive from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
2. THAT the York Regional Police Department and the Town

of Aurora Public Works Department be empowered to do all
acts of assisting traffic during this time period to allow
the safe movement of the paracde .. on Yonge Street and a1 ternate
traffic routing.
THAT the provisions of this By-law shall become effective
upon final passage thereof and upon receipt ·:of approval
by the Ministry of Transporation and Communications.

Enclosed herewith in duplicate is Order dated 1st day of
May 1984, made pursuant to subsection 169(3) of the
Highway Traffic Act, RSO. 1980, ch.l98 by the Honourable
James Snow, Minister of Transportation and Communications,
authorizing the temporary closing of a section of Hwy. #11
ib June 9, 1984 between the hours of 10:15 AM and 11:15 AM
in order to facilitate the Town of Aurora holding a
parade, on the undertaking that adequate detour is
provided for through traffic.

I hereby direct the closing of a portion of Yonge
Street (Highway No. 11) to through traffic on June
9, 1984 from the north side of Cousins Drive to the
intersection of Aurora Heights Drive from 10:15 AM
to 11:15 AM to facilitate the town holding a parade
pursuant to subsection 169(3) of the Public
Transportation and Highway Improvement Act, RSO.
1980, ch.421, and on the understanding that
adequate detour will be provided for through
traffic.
