OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2220-78, BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH
RULES AND REULATIONS ACCORDING TO WHICH THE PROCEEDINGS OF COUNCIL
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA SHALL BE GOVERNED AND
CONDUCTED.
WHEREAS SECTION 62 OF THE MUNICIPAL ACT HAS BEEN AMENDED
AND WHEREAS THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AURORA DEEMS
IT EXPEDIENT TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2220-78.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Clause 17 of By-law 2220-78 is hereby deleted and a new
Clause inserted · :so.dohat Clause 17 shall now read as follows:
17. Every member present when a question is put shall vote
thereon unless the Council shall excuse him or unless
he is personally interested in the question in which case
he shall not be obliged to vote. A member who refuses
to vote shall be deemed to vote in the negative.
2. THIS By-law shall come into force and effect upon final passing
thereof.
