THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2213-78
A RESTRICTED AREA (ZONING) BY-LAW
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to amend By-law 2213-78.

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Aurora enacts as follows:
1.. That Section 24.3.2 is hereby deleted and the following
added in its place:
Minimum Distance Separation Residential & Industrial
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this By-law
where an Industrial (M) Zone abuts a Residential zone
or a Holding Zone designated for residential purposes
in the Official Plan or is separated from such Residential
or Holding Zone by a street, highway, right-of-way or
vacant land only, any new industrial building shall be
located a minimum of 60 m away from any existing
residential building. Where no residential building
exists, the distance shall be calculated using the
minimum applicable yard requirements for the residential
zone.
2. That Section 7 "General Provisions for Residential
Zones is hereby amended by adding the following as
Section 7.8:
Dwelling Adjacent to an Industrial Zone
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this By-law
where a Residential Zone is adjacent to an Industrial
Zone or an area designated for industrial purposes in
the Official Plan, the minimum required yard abutting
the Industrial Zone shall be 15 metres.
