BEING A BY-LAW to designate a
Community Improvement Project Area
(Aurora Promenade).
WHEREAS subsection 28(2) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended
(hereinafter the "Act'), provides that the councils of local municipalities may, where
there is an official plan in effect, pass by-laws to designate the whole or any part of
an area covered by such an official plan as a community improvement project area;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacted By-
law Number 5285-10, as amended, being the Official Plan of the Town of Aurora
which contains provisions relating to community improvement;
AND WHEREAS subsection 28(1) of the Act, defines a "community improvement
project area" as a municipality or an area within a municipality, the community
improvement of which in the opinion of the council is desirable because of age,
dilapidation, overcrowding, faulty arrangement, unsuitability of buildings or for any
other environmental, social or community economic development reason;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora deems it
necessary and in the interest of the municipality to designate the lands hereinafter
described as a"Community Improvement Project Area";
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
AURORA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the lands identified on Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of
this By-law are hereby designated as a Community Improvement Project Area.
2. THAT this By-law shall come into full force and effect from the date of final
passage hereof.
