OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW No. 1867, A BY-LAW TO REGULATE TRAFFIC
IN THE TOWN OF AURORA •
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacts as
follows:-
1. Part V -Penal ties of By-law 1'867-69, being a By-law to
regulate traffic in the Town of Aurora as amended by
By-law 2134-77 is hereby repeafed and the following
substituted therefore.
Part V -Penalties
(1) Every person who contraV,enes any of the provisions
of this by-law is guilty of ani offence and on conviction is
liable to a fine of not more !than $10.00 for the first
offence and not more than $50.100 for every subsequent offence
exclusive of costs.
2. The Owner of a vehicle that is' parked in contravention of
Part III, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4,: 5, 6 and 7 of this by-law is
guilty of an offence and on cohviction is liable to a fine
of not more than $10.00 for the first offence and not more
than $25.00 for every subsequeht offence, exclusive of costs
unless the owner proves to the' satisfaction of the court
that at the time of the offence, the motor vehicle was in the
possession of another person Without the owner's consent, express
or implied.
3. Notwithstanding the provisions, of subsections 1 and 2, any
person. may upon presentation of a violation tag issued by a
member of the York Regional Police Force alleging commission

of an offence under Part III, Section 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of
this by-law, pay voluntarily out of court within 5 days from
the date of issue of the said ,tag the sum of $5.00 and upon
such payment no further procee,dings shall be taken under this
by-law in respect of the offence alleged in the parking violation
tag.
Notwithstanding the provision,}, of subsections 1 and 2, any
person may upon presentation a:f a violation tag issued by a
member of the York Regional Police. Force alleging commission
of an offence under Part III, Section .4 (1), 4 (2), 4 (3) of
this by-law, pay voluntarily o'ut of court within 5 days from
the date of issue of the said 'tag the sum of $10.00 and upon
such payment no further proceedings shall be taken under this
by-law in respect of the offeJ!ce alleged in the parking violation
