BYLAW - Library Addition - 19741121 - 203274BY-LAW # 2032-74 OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A LIBRARY ADDITION AT 56 VICTORIA STREET, AURORA. IN A TOTAL ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $200,000.00 WHEREAS this Council has approved of the Capital undertaking of the Aurora Public Library Board of an addition to its building under the Winter Capital Projects Fund under Project CP 0590. AND WHEREAS the Ontario Municipal Board by its Order E 741985 dated October 18th, 1974 have approved of this project in the total amount of $200,000.00 and the temporary borrowing pending completion of the work, foregiveness of winter works and sale of debentures. NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the construction of the said Library Addition in the amount of $200,000.00 as detailed on the plans and specifications of Denis Bowman, Architect, dated' September 27th, 1974, be authorized subject to the authorization of the Contract by the Aurora Public Library Board. 2. 3- THAT Denis Bowman, Architect, shall provide all the services, plans, profiles and specifications etc., which may be required to complete the said work in a satisfactory manner. THAT the work shall be carried out and executed under the supervision and according to the directions and orders of the Architect and the Aurora Public Library Board, and that the responsibility of supervision of the joint Building Committee composed of Library Board and Council be continued during the construction period. 4. THAT the Chairman and the Secretary are authorized, to cause a contract for the construction of the said works to be made and entered into with some person or persons, firm or corporation, and to sign any other documents necessary for construction of this work, subject to the approval of the Aurora Library Board. 5. THAT the Aurora Public Library Board and the Architect, Mr. Denis Bowman, shall provide all detailed information required by the Winter Capital Projects Fund, and shall insure that the provisions of the construction and approvals granted to the maximum expenditure of $200,000.00 shall be carried out within the requirements of the above-mentioned Fund, to achieve the maximum available grant and forgiveness during the winter construction period which will end on May 31st, 1975.
