BY-LAW NUMBER 1926 -71
OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 1867 BEING A BY-LAW FOR THE REGULATION
OF TRAFFIC.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend certain provisions of By-law
Number 1867;
THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT PART III, Section 2, Subsection (1) (j) of By-law Number 1867
be deleted and that the following be substituted therefore:

PARKING
2. PARKING PROHIBITED
(1) IN SPECIFIED PLACES
No person shall park a vehicle in any of the following places:
(j) On any highway for an unreasonable time having regard for the
traffic requirements of such highway and in no case for a longer
period than three hours between the hours of 1:00 o'clock a.m.
and 6:00 o 1 clock a.m. For the purpose of this clause "highway"
shall mean the travelled portion of the roadway and the gravelled
or improved shoulders of the roadway on which a vehicle could be
parked.
This clause shall be in force and effective between the period
of time November 15th and April 15th of the following year.
2. THAT PART III, Section 5, Subsection (1) of By-law Number 1867 be
deleted and that the following be substituted therefore:

5. PARKING LIMITED TO ONE HOUR ON SPECIFIED STREETS
(1) ONE HOUR PARKING -9:00 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M. MONDAY TO SATURDAY
YONGE STREET FROM the Orchard Heights Boulevard

TO the Murray Drive intersection
EAST 9:00 A.M. TO
4:30 P.M.
MONDAY TO
SATURDAY
3. THAT PART III, Section 5, Subsection (2) of By-law Number 1867 be
deleted and that the following be substituted therefore:

4. THAT PART V, Clauses 1 and 2 o~ By-law Number 1867 be amended and
that the said Clauses shall read as follows:

PENALTIES
1. Any person violating any o~ the prov~s~ons under PART III,
Sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 may make settlement within ~ive
days at the Town o~ Aurora Clerk's O~~ice; Saturdays,.Sundays
and holidays excepted, on payment of two (2) dollars, otherwise
a summons may be issued and upon conviction, Clause 3 of Part V
shall apply.
2. Any person violating any of the provisions under PART III,
Section 4 (1), 4 (2) and 4 (3) may make settlement within five
days at the Town o~ Aurora Clerk's O~fice; Saturdays, Sundays
and holidays excepted, on payment o~ five {5) dollars, otherwise
a summons may be issued and upon conviction, Clause 3 o~ Part v
shall apply.
THAT the provisions o~ this By-law shall become e~fective when
approved by the Department of Transport.
