THE CORPORATioN OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BY-LAW NO. 1846-69
Being a by-law to adopt the estimates
of all sums required during the year
for general purposes and County rates
and to strike the rates of taxation
for the year 1969.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora has in
accordance with the Municipal Act considered the estimates of the municip~lity for
general purposes and County rates and it is necessary that the following sums be
raised by means of taxation for the year 1969;
General Purposes
County Purposes
$572,929.00
$201,422.00
AND WHEREAS the Assessment Roll made in 1968 and upon which the 1969
taxes are to be levied was finally revised by the Court of Revision;
AND WHEREAS the amount of Assessment entitled to benefit, hereinafter
referred to as residential and farm, and the amount of assessment not entitled to
benefit, hereinafter referred to as commercial and business, from Unconditional
Grants in accordance with Sections 294 and 297 of The Municipal Act, is as follows:
Assessment entitled to Benefit
(Residential and Farm)
Assessment not entitled to Benefit $ 5,756,461.00
(Commercial and Business)
AND WHEREAS the amount of the Unconditional Grant is $59,785.00 which
is the equivalent of 4.9232 mills on the Assessment Entitled to Benefit;
AND WHEREAS there is required to be raised for special purposes the
sum of $11,378.00 for the sewerage and other debentures under the Local Improvement
Act.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the estimates be adopted and the following amounts be levied
therefore in the manner as s.et out hereinafter --
General Purposes
County Purposes

$201,422.00

There shall be levied and collected upon the assessable lands, buildings
within the Corporation of the Town of Aurora the following rates for
the year 1969.
