BYLAW - Taking Vote for Extended Franchise - 19661031 - 171166f.'! BY-LAW NUMBER 1711-66 OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA BEING A iY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE RIGHT TO VOTE AT MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS FOR THE MEMBERS OF COUNCIL. WHEREAS By-law Number 1794-66 passed on the seventeenth day of October , 1966 provides for submission to the electors of the question therein set forth respecting the extension of right to vote at municipal elections for the members of council, and it is.necessary to provide f~r taking such a vote~ THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the vote of the electors of the municipality upon the question set forth in the. said By-law No. 1704-66 shall be taken on Saturday the thir~y of.:; December 1966, between the hours of 96'clock of the forenoon and 6 o'clock of the afternoon (Standard Time) at the same places where the votes are to be taken in the Municipal~~ Election for the election of the members of Council for the year~l967-1968 and ~~ v) that the Deputy Returning Officers and Poll Clerks appointed for the purpose of the said Municipal Election be the Deputy Returning Officee5and Poll Clerks to take the votes of· the electors in the matter of the said question. 2. THAT on Friday .. the 25th. day of November, 1966, at the hours of 11 M·clock of the forenoon (Standard Time) the Head of the Council or some other member thereof appointed for that purpose by Resolution shall attend at the Council Chambers 'in 1lb the Municipal Building for the purpose of appointing if requested so to do, by .-If 0l · writing signed by him, two persons to attend at the final summing up by the Clerk of the votes upon the said question and one person to attend at each polling place on behalf of the persons interested in and desirous of promoting voting in the affirmative of the said question and a like number on behalf of the persons interested in and desirous of promoting voting in the negative of the said question. 3.
