BYLAW - Taking Vote for Sunday Movies - 19661031 - 171066BY-LAW NUEBER 1710-66 OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR TAKING THE VOTE OF THE ELECTORS OF THE MUNICIPALITY ON A QJJESTION AS TO SUNDAY MOVING PICTURES, THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES, CONCERTS OR LECTURES AS SUBMITTED TO THE ELECTORS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF BY-LAW 17~6. WHEREAS BY-LAW NO. 1707-66 PASSED ON THE 24TH DAY OF OCTOBER ,1966 PROVIDES FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELECTORS OF THE QUESTION THEREIN SET FORTH RESPECTING SUNDAY MOVING, PICTURES, THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES, CONCERTS AND LECTURES AND IT IS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE FOR TAKING SUCH VOTE. THEREFORE THE COU}JCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the vote of the electors of the Municipality upon the question set forth ~B said1 by-law 1797:;.66 shall be taken on Saturday, the third day of December, 1966 between the hours of 9 o'clock of the forenoon and 6 o'clock of the afternoon (Standard Tim~~~ at the same places where the votes are to be taken in the Municipal Election for th(e,f; election of the members of Council for the years 1967-196$ and that the Deputy Returning Officers and Poll Clerks appointed for the purpose of the said Municipal Election be the Deputy Returning Officers and Poll Clerks to take< the,wotes of the electors in the matter of the said question. 2. THAT on Friday the 25th day of November, 1966 at the hour of 11 o'clock of the forenoon (Standard Time) the Head of the Council or some other Member thereof appointed'for that purpose by Resolution shall attend at the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building for the purpose of appointing if requested so to do 1 by writing,Hrltl signed by him,two persons to attend at the final summing up by the Clerk of the votes upon the said question and one person to attend at each polling place on behalf of the pereons interested in and desirous of promoting voting in the affirmative on the said question and a like number of behalf of the persons interested in and desirous of promoting voting in the negative on the said question. 3. THAT on Monday, the fifth day of December, 1966 at the hour of twelve noon -~~~ (Standard time) at the Council chambers in the Municipal Building the Clerk shall attend and then and the~e sum up the number of votes given in the affirmative and negative on the said question.
