THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the said Town/Village enacts as follows: (1 ) The sum of $ 2 3 • 000 is hereby estimated as the expenditure upon the construction and maintenance of the roads and bridges under its jurisdiction during the year 19 60 as follows: Construction Maintenance Total ROADS ..................... $ 5,000 /$ 18,000 /$ '23,000 I • BRIDGES & CULVERTS ........ $ $ $ ENGINEERING & OVERHEAD ... $ $ $ TOTALS .•........... $ 5!000 $ 18!000 $ 23!000 /,- ' J (2) The said monies shall be expended on work performed in accordance with The Highway Improvement Act. (3) The clerk shall transmit duplicate copies of this by-law to the district office of the Munic,ipal Roads Branch, Department of Highways, not later than March 31st, of the said year. (4) The approval of the Ontario Municipal Board shall be obtained before any expenditure is authorized or work comll)enced which will be financed by the issue of debentures or monies raised in a subsequent year. Cass, Minister of Highways, has authorized the approval of the above cited by-law to a limit of $ 5,000. for Construction, $ 18 1 000. for Maintenance and $ 23,000. Total Please be advised that expenditures in excess of either the construction or maintenance limits will not be eligible for subsidy unless covered by a supplementary by-law approved by the Minister, This approval is given subject to the approval of each individual work of construction and of contracts for construction or maintenance, You are requested to report all proposed works to your District Municipal Engineer and to obtain hl.s co;asent.
