AURORA FOR 1HE Y1MR 19,56.
WHEREAS estimates have been prepared showing that the
"\ sum of $2~3i,3'Ji;2\.00 is required to be raised for the lawful
purposes o£ the corporat~on of the Town of Auxora for the
year 19.56.
AND )lliEREAS there is required to be raised for special
purposes ·!;he sum of $8,090.00 for the sewerage and other
debentures under the Local Improvement Act.
AND IWEREAS the total assessable property within the
&\·· corporation is as follows : Land $1,284,623.00, Buildings
$3,.511,331.00, Business $630,.503.00.
THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF
T"tlE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS .AS FOLLOWS:
1 There shall be struck, rated, levied and collected upon
the assessable land, buildings and business assessment the
following rates:

That the said Public School rates (not including Public
School debentures) shall be struck , rated, levied and collected
upon the land, buildings and business assessment, assessed in
the name of those designa'ted in the Collectors Roll as public
School supporters.
That the said separate School rates.~

There shall be struck, rated, levied and collected, a
further specia,l rate per foot frontage to raise the sum of

the corporation's sewerage system, such rate to be in accord-
ance with the rates and against the properties decided by ~·----. ..! -
·-the Court of Revision held for such purposes and the Collector's

011 or before the 30th day of June, 19.56, and the balance or
other half' of the said rates shall b.ecome due and be paid on
or before the 31st day of october 19.56.
The Treasurer is hereby authorized to receive on account
of the said rates~ payments in advance of the days fixed for
the payment of either instalment thereon and the t there shall
· be allowed a discount on the whole or any portion of the first
instalment of the taxes so paid in advance of the 30th day of . '
June, 19.56, one half of one percentum and that there shall be

That there be imposed, as a penalty, a percentage charge
of one-half of one perc en tum for non-payment of any instalment
of the taxes or any portion thereof on the first day ot default
and on the first day of each month thereafter in which default
continues., but not after the 31st day of December, 19.56.
The t the statutory penalty end interest shall be charged
on all at the rates not paid on the 31st day of December, 19.56,
and such penalty and interest shall be levied and collected ~by the Collector o~ Treasurer as if the same b.a s been originally
imposed and formed part of the said rate.
The Clerk shall prepare and deliver the collector's Roll

That the Collector is hereby authorized to mail or
cause to be mailed the notices provided for by section 109
~of the Assessment Act to the addresses of
places or business of the pElt'sons to whom

That the Collector shal.l, if any instalment of taxes
remains unpaid for more than fourteen days from the date
provided for payment thereof, rorthwi th proceed to collect
by distress or otherwise, under the provisions of the statute
in that behalf, all such taxes, so in default, together with
the percentage thereon imposed for a default.
That the Collector shall return to the Treasurer on or
before the ;...;( day of j-~7 19.57, and furnish the
~Treasurer thereupon, all such statement of taxes unpaid and
