of The Municipal Corporation of the
Town of .Aurora
A By-law to provide for an advance poll for the purpose of
receiving votes of Voters, who expect to be absent from the
Municipality on the day fixed for polling.
WHEREliS By-law Number 1132 provides for the nomination of
candidates for the council, public school Board and 1'he Hydro
Commission of the Town of 1\urora and for polling;
AND \'IHER?liS by section 111 (a) of The Iviunicipal Act R.s.o. 19.50,
as amended, the council of a local Municipality may pass a
by-law for providing adv8Jlce polls for the purpose of receiving
the votes of Voters who expect to be absent from the Municipality,
or of elect ion officials who in carrying out their duties as
election officials will be unable to attend the poll at which
they are entitled to vote on the· day fixed for polling;
AND i1E:SREAS the council of the corporation of the Town of lmrora
deem it expedient to pass such a by-law;

1. That, if more candidates are nominated for an office
at the Nomination, as provided by By-law Number 1132, than
are to be elected, advance polls be opened from tO oTclock
in the M<t: noon to 5 o'clock in the ttFTE,~noon on the saturday
immediasely prior to the date ffixed for the election for the
purpose of receiving the votes of Voters who expect to be
absent from the IJiunicipali ty, or of election officials who in
carrying out their duties as election officials will be unable
to attend the ;;nll st which they are a11ti tled to vote, on the
day fixed for polling.
2. That this By-law shall remaip in force from year
to year until repealed.
