BYLAW - To Prohibit Carriages Bicycles and Wagons on Pedestrian Sidewalks - 191308 - 373(1)13To prohibit Carriages Wagons, Bicycles and other Yeheicles being a upon or being used, or being used, drawn hauled or propelled along any sidewalk pathway or footpath used or set apart for pedestri ans & at in the Town .of Aurora. WHEREAS BY subseetion 37 of Section 398'of the Consolidated -' Municipal Act of 1913 power is given Municipal councils to pass By -Laws for prohibiting carriages, waggons, bicycles, sleighs and other vehicles and conveyances of every description, &at being upon, or beingused, drawn, hauled or propelledalong or upon any sidewalk, pathway or foot path, used by or set apart for the use of pedestrians & at, Be It therefore enacted by the municipal Council of the Town of Aurora;- lst, That it shall not be lawful for any carriages, waggons, bicycles, sleighes and other vehicles and conveyances of every description, and whatever the motive power, or any particular kind or class of such vehicles or conveyances being upon, orbeingused, drawn, hauled or propelled along or upon any sidewalk, pathway or foot path, used or set apart for the use of pedestrians,, and form ing part of any highway or bridge, boulevard or other means of oom munication,or being in or uponany highway, boulevard, park, park ltt, garden or other place set apart for ornament or embelish ishment or for publia recreation in the said Town of Aurora. 2nd? Any person or persons contravening tka any of the provisions of this Bylaw shal for this offence of conviction before one or more Justices of the peace forfeit and pay a foi ne of not less than one dollar or more than twenty dollars in the dasxrr±naxxx:; descrition of the Justices or Justices together with the costs, and if not paid iforth with the same shall be levied by destress and the sale of the goods and chattles of the offender, and in default of such destress the offender or offenders shall be impri soned in the common jail of the County of York for any time not exceeding twenty one days unless such fine'and ciosts shall be sooner paid. 014 1 orc. all tines cnIB oy.LUW 6nU" De Pala TO Gne Treasurer of this Municipality and shall become part of the funds of the said Municipality. 4th.
