follows! _
1. It shall not be lawful to hold or keep for hire or :profit
any exhibition involving the use of a cinematograph, moving
picture :.qachine, or other similar apparatus anloos a license
is first, obtained therefor under the to ^.ns of this bylaw.
Z. No such license shall be issued unies3 and until the
applicant produces a licence from the Provincial Treasurer
authorizing the exhibition of such picture machine within the
municipality,
3. All applications for license shall be made by petition in
writing and presented to the municipal council,and upon the
prayer being granted and a resolution passed to that effect
� by the council, and upon the production of the Provincial license
in the last paragraph mentioned, the applicant or applicants
shall Ile entitled to a license upon payment to th,o Treasurer
of this municipality of the sum of

4. Such license shall be signed by the -Mayor and the Clerk
and the official seal of the .municipality shall be affixed the, -re
the date of its issue.
5. The issue of such license shall be subject to the
regulations passed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council

objects, involvin3 the use of a cinematograph or moving picture
machine as nontioned in paragraph one hereof, upon application
made in writing for remission of the license fee,, the Mayor of
the Town, upon satisfying himself that in all other respects
the provisions of this bylaw .will be observed, shall be at litperty
and he is hereby authorized to issue a permit to be signed by
y himself and the Clerk and sealed with the officiol seal,
authorizing such exhibition or entertainment ',without the payment
of any license fee, provided always that such permit shall be
valid for one day only, and upon the date therein mentioned.
7. The Proprietor or person in charges of any exhibition or
place of entertainment in which a cinematograph or moving picture
machine is used shall not permit the admission thereto of
any child under the age of 0-11t, years, unless accompanied
by and in the care of his or her parent, guardian or other
adult person.
8. In every building or hall in which any theatrical exhibition
or entertainment .of any kind is held, all halls, passageways,
stair ways and approaches shall be kept free and unobstructed

by any camp stool, chair, hinge seat or other obstruction of any
kind, nor shall the public or the spectators be allowed to stand
in the aisles.
9. Vo theatrical exhibition or entertainment of any kind shall
be allowed in which anything of an immoral or obscene nature
takes place or is depicted, and the ;mayor or chief Constable

any such exhibition or entertainment.
10. The 1layor, Chief Constable or other Constable of the 'l.'own
shall have po:ver at all times to enter any building or hall
within which a theatrical performance or entertainment is being
held, for the purposes of seeing that, the provisions of this
bylaw and the regulations of the Lieutenant Governor in Council
above mentioned are being duly and properly observed and enforced,
11. The breach of any of the provisions hereof shall render
the proprietor or any person in charge of such theatrical
entertairtnent liable to all the penalties provided and imposed

not otherwise sPeci.ally provided,
12,Upon conviction for any offence against the provisions
of this bylaw of any ?person to whom a license has been granted
hereunder, such license shall be subject to immediate cancellation
by the municipal Council, and if any conviction is made for
infraction of the provi.^>_nns hereof" upon any premises for
which a, license has been granted hereunder, such license shall
be subject to immediate cancellation by the nunicipal Council.
