between a point where the said Wellington Street is intersected by the
' East limit of 3onge Street to Ross Street as a local improvement under
the provisions of "The Local improvement Act".
"vRliREAS and others have petitioned
the Council of the Town of Aurora, to construct as .a local improvement
the work hereinafter described, and the Clerk has certified that the
petition is sufficient and it is expedient to grant the prayer of the
petition in manner hereinafter provided.
MID WHEREAS the said additional pavement,to be paid for
by the Corporation of the 'Town of Aurora, shall consist of five feet
in width on each side of Wellington Street (in addition to that Pro-
posed to be constructed by the Toronto and York Roads Commission)•from
a point where the said Wellington Street is intersected by the East`,:_._
limit of Yonge Street to Ross Street.
A14D EBIREAS it is proposed that the Toronto and York
Roads CoTnmission shall construct the said additional pavement on
each side of Wellington Street, and that the Corporation of the Town.
of Aurora shall pay to the said Toronto and York Roads Co;rmission
the cost of the said additional pavement.,
AND WHEREAS by Revised Statutes of Ontario, Chapter 193,
Section 9, Amending Acts, power is conferred on the Council of the

D �a ;Municipality to pass a by-law on petition of ratepayers+ that such
work should be undertaken as a local improvement under the provisions
of the Local Improvement Act.

(l) That as above determined and declared, pavements five

feet in width on each side of Wellington Street, in the Town of
Aurora, between the point where the said street is intersected by the
East limit of Yorige Street to Ross Street, be constructed as a local

improvement under the provisions of the Local improvement Act.
(2) That the engineers of the Corporation do forthwith
make such plans, profiles and specifications and furnish such inform-
ation as may be necessary for the making of a contract for the execu-
tion of the work.
(3) That the work shall be carried on and ex.ecuted under
•the superintendence and according to the directions and orders of
such engineers.
(4) That the hayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and in -
strutted to cause a contract for the construction of the work.be made
and entered into with some person or persons, firm or corporation sub
V ject to the approval of this Council, which approval shall be by re-
solution.
(5) That the Treasurer may, subject_ to -the approval ofthe.

Council,agree with any bank or person for temporary advances of money
' to meet the cost of the work pending completion.
(6) The special assessment shall be paid by twenty annual
'instalments and the Corporation of the Town of Aurora shall pay ninety-
five per cent of the cost and the five per cent shall be charged
against the frontage on the said street.
(7) The debentures to be issued for the loan to be effected

to pay for the cost of the work when completed, shall bear interest

at the rate of ��j per centum per annum, and be mad %ithin
vv twenty years on the instalment plan.
