BEING A BY-LAW to amend Zoning
By-law Number 2213-78, as amended,
to remove a Holding "(H)" Symbol
(111 Civic Square Gate).
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora (hereinafter the
"Town") enacted By-law Number 2213-78, including amendments thereto (hereinafter
the "Zoning By-law");
AND WHEREAS section 36 of the of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13,!°as
amended (hereinafter the "Act') provides that the councils of local municipalities may, in
a by-law passed under section 34 of the Act, by the use of the holding symbol "H" in
conjunction with any use designation, specify the use to which lands, buildings or
structures may be put at such time in the future as the holding symbol is removed by
amendments to the Zoning By-law;
AND WHEREAS the Town's Official Plan contains provisions relating to the use of
holding symbols;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Town enacted By-law Number 3562-94.D to amend
the Zoning By-law to include a Holding "(H)" symbol over a portion of the lands
described therein;
AND WHEREAS the conditions for the removal of the Holding "(H)" symbol respecting
the "Residential Commercial Holding (H) C7-1 Exception Zone" as set out in By-law
Number 3562-94.1) have been met;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Town deems it necessary and expedient to further
amend By-law Number 3562-94.D with the terms and provisions set out below;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention to pass this By-law has been provided;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
AURORA HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT By-law Number 3562-94.1) be and is hereby amended to remove the
Holding "(H)" symbol preceding the "Residential Commercial Holding (H) C7-1
Exception Zone" on a portion of the lands as shown on Schedule "A" attached
hereto and forming part of this By-law.
2. THAT all other terms, provisions, and existing amendments of the Zoning By-law
and By-law Number 3562-94.13 remain the same and are hereby reaffirmed.
THAT this By-law shall come into full force subject to compliance with the
provisions of the Act, and subject to such provisions, this By-law will take effect
from the date of final passage hereof.

Explanatory Note
Re: Zoning By-law Number 5385-11
By-law Number 5385-11 has the following purpose and effect:
To amend the Zoning By-law in effect in the Town of Aurora to remove a Holding "(H)"
Symbol from a portion of the subject lands.
The rezoning will permit the development of a residential apartment building.
