SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

ATTENDANCE
COUNCIL MEMBERS Mayor Jones in the Chair; Councillors Buck, Gaertner,
Kean, Morris, Wallace and West.
MEMBERS ABSENT Councillors Hogg and Vrancic were absent.
OTHER ATTENDEES Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Corporate
Services/Town Clerk, Director of Building, Director of
Leisure Services, Director of Planning, Director of
Public Works, Acting Treasurer, Acting Town Solicitor
and Council/Committee Secretary.
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
I DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTEREST
There were no declarations of pecuniary interest under the Municipal Conflict of
Interest Act.
Mayor Jones congratulated the Aurora Tigers on their Canadian Championship
victory and advised that the Tigers would be at the Aurora Leisure Complex from
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004 where people will have the
opportunity to meet, greet and congratulate the team members.
Mayor Jones also advised that the Tigers would be recognized at the Civic
Awards Ceremony on June 2, 2004 at the Aurora Town Hall Council Chambers.
Mayor Jones also indicated that the Tigers have been invited to participate in the
July 1st Canada Day Parade and that a confirmation of the team members'
availability is expected shortly.
II APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Moved by Councillor Wallace Seconded by Councillor Morris
THAT the content of the Agenda as circulated by the Corporate Services
Department be approved as presented.

III CONSIDERATION OF ITEM REQUIRING SEPARATE DISCUSSION
1. CS04-020 - Amendment to Administration Procedures - Contingency Planning
Moved by Councillor Wallace Seconded by Councillor Kean
THAT the proposed contingency measures outlined herein be approved
with implementation during the period of the potential labour disruption;
and
THAT staff be permitted to deliver services on a modified basis during a
labour disruption subject to the authorization of the Chief Administrative
Officer; and
THAT during the period of labour disruption, all Advisory Committee
meetings be cancelled.

Moved by Councillor West Seconded by Councillor Wallace
THAT the following listed by-law be given 1st, 2nd and 3rd readings, and
enacted:
