MINUTES - Special Council - 19921207II TOWN OF AURORA SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING NO. 59-92 Council Chambers Aurora Town Hall Monday, December 7, 1992 9:51p.m. MINUTES II COUNCIL :MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE Mayor West in the Chair; Councillors Griffith, Healy, Jones, McKenzie, Timpson, Pedersen and Weller. Councillor Constable was absent due to inclement weather conditions. STAFF :MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE Chief Administrative Officer, Deputy Clerk, Director of Planning, Director of Building Administration, Director of Public Works, Director of Personnel, Director of Leisure Services, Treasurer and Acting Recording Secretary. DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST There were no disclosures of Interest under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act. APPROVAL OF AGENDA #730. Moved by Councillor Weller Seconded by Councillor Griffith THAT the content of the Agenda be approved as outlined herein, with the addition of PL92-129-465 to the New Business section of the Agenda. CARRIED (With the requisite two-third majority to add new business to the Agenda) STAFF REPORT PW92-124-466-Water Conservation Program #731. Moved by Councillor Weller Seconded by Councillor McKenzie THAT a pilot program to sell water conservation kits be conducted by the Town commencing January 1993; THAT 2,000 kits be purchased from Service Ware Corporation at a price of $7.05 per kit; t ---··\ Aurora Special Council Minutes No. 59-92 Monday, December 7, 1992 2 THAT application be made to the Ontario Hydro Special Grant Program prior to December 15, 1992 for a $4,000.00 grant; THAT funding up to $17,000.00 be provided by the Water and Sewage Reserve fund for the purchase of the kits with cost recovery via future sales; and THAT kits be sold to Town residents at a price of $7.00 per kit, tax included. CARRIED NEW BUSINESS PL92-129-465-York Region Planning Department Comments on Aurora Official Plan (Technical Report No. 11590P) #732. Moved by Councillor Timpson Seconded by Councillor Pedersen THAT the Region be requested to amend the proposed modifications to Section 4.1(c) of the proposed Official Plan such that the "10 year urban settlement boundaries" would be expressed as the "1 0 year urban residential settlement boundaries".
