MINUTES - Special Council - 19891016MINUTES TOWN OF AURORA SPECIAL COUNCIL -PUBLIC PLANNING MEETING NO. 49-89 Victoria Hall Monday October 16, 1989 7:30 p.m. Council Members in Attendance Councillor Pedersen in the Chair, Councillors Jones, Mcintyre, Timpson (7:34p.m.), and Weller Staff Members in Attendance APPOINTMENT OF ACTING MAYOR #596. Moved by Councillor Jones Ochalski, Mayor West absent on Vacation. Councillor McKenzie absent. Councillor Stewart absent due to illness. Chief Administrative Officer, Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Director of Planning, Senior Planner -Development Control, Senior Planner -Long Range Seconded by Councillor Ochalski THAT Councillor Pedersen be appointed Acting Mayor, and assume the Chair for the conducting of the Meeting. CARRIED DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST There were no disclosures of Interest under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, 1983. APPROVAL OF AGENDA #597. Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Councillor Ochalski THAT the content of the Agenda be approved as outlined herein. CARRIED PLANNING APPLICATION Councillor Pedersen advised the meeting had been called as a Public Meeting to consider a Town sponsored amendment to the Zoning By-law respecting the location of temporary sales offices and/or trailers. The Clerk advised the Notices of the meeting for this application were p 1 aced in the September 22nd and October 11th, 1989 issues of the Aurora Banner, in comp 1 i ance with the rules of procedure under the Planning Act (1983). Proposal Z-37-89 -Temporary Sales Trailers and/or Offices The Senior Planner -Development Control was called upon to outline to those in attendance the contents of Report PL89-116-310 prepared concerning this subject. Council was also advised of a letter of objection received from Mr. H.S. Sadler related to the application. As there were no questions or concerns expressed by any members of the Public in attendance, the Public Meeting closed and Council's consideration began. ____ ,-' ., .. Aurora Special Council -Public Planning Minutes No. 49-89 Monday, October 16, 1989 BY-LAWS #598. #599. - 2 - Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Councillor Mcintyre THAT By-1 aw 3145-89, a By-1 aw to amend By-1 aw 2213-78 as amended (Temporary Sales Trailers and/or offices) be introduced for first reading; and AND THAT the same be taken as read a first time. CARRIED Moved by Councillor Weller Seconded by Councillor Ochalski THAT leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the following by-law for Second Reading: 3145-89 Being a By-law to amend By-law 2213-78, as amended (Temporary Sales Trailers and/or Offices). AND THAT the same be taken as read a Second Time. CARRIED ADJOURNMENT #600. Moved by Councillor Jones #601. #602. THAT the Meeting be adjourned at 7:40 p.m. CARRIED Moved by Councillor Timpson Seconded by Councillor Jones THAT the Special Council/Public Planning Meeting be reopened. CARRIED Moved by Councillor Timpson Seconded by Councillor Jones THAT Planning Application Z-37-89 be approved and the Implementing By-law be considered by Council.
