Present Were: Mayor Illingworth and Councillors Richard Barker, Len Ostick, Martin Paivio, Earl Stewart, Norm Stewart and John West. CONFLICT OF INTEREST Councillor West declared a conflict of interest in Item# 4 of the Agenda -- "Resthaven" due to contractual interest and did not take part in the consideration of or vote on any question in this regard or attempt in any way to influence the voting on such question. CORREPONDENCE N. Stewart: Buck: Resolved that Letter# 20-141 from the Purchasing Co-Ordinator be added to the Agenda. CARRIED 1. Letter # 20-146 -Royal Canadian Legion re: Discharge of Firearms N. Stewart: Buck: Resolved that the Royal Canadian Legion be allowed to discharge firearms on Sunday, November 6th, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. during their Memorial Day Services. CARRIED 2. Letter # 20-141 -Photocopiers N. Stewart: West: Resolved that the recommendation of s. Jones, Purchasing Co-Ordinator regarding the leasing of a Xerox 1045 and a 2830 with Sorter for the Clerk's Department and a Xerox 2830 without sorter for the Treasury Department, under a five {5) year leasing contract, be accepted and the Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. CARRIED 3. Santa Claus Parade Paivio: N. Stewart: Resolved that permission be given to the Santa Claus Parade Committee to close off the east end of Allaura Boulevard and Edward Street from the intersection of Allaura Boulevard to Yonge Street for the holding of the Santa Claus Parade. CARRIED 4. Aurora Resthaven E. Stewart: Paivio: ADJOURNMENT N. Stewart: Mayor Resolved that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign a revised Site Plan Agreement which amends the requirements for driveway access to Resthaven Nursing Home and shown on Drawing Number 8219A1, dated October 21, 1983 by Smith and Milne and Drawing Job Number AR-62, dated November 8, 1983 by W.R.
