MINUTES - Special Council - 19830530\'·'·"-"·~ .}·,,-~,.... MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, MONDAY, MAY 30th, 1983 AT 10:55 P.M. Present Were: Mayor Richard Illingworth, Councillors Evelyn Buck, Tim Jones, Len Ostick, Martin Paivio, Earl Stewart and John West. Councillor Richard Barker and Councillor Norm Stewart were absent due to occupational commitment. West: Resolved that the 72 Hour Notice of Meeting be waived. Jones: CARRIED RESOLUTIONS 1. West: Jones: 2. Buck: West: Bell Canada -SX200 Resolved that the Clerk-Administrator be authorized to enter into a contract with Bell Canada for the installation of a SX200 Stored Program Control System under the Rate Stability Plan, Be It Further Resolved that funds in the amount of $4,535.00 be taken from the Building Administrative Account and repaid back when savings achieved over the next 13 months, and the Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. CARRIED Community Guide Resolved that a 1/2 page advertisement, at a cost of $375.00, be taken in this Guide featuring the Aurora Fire Hall. CARRIED 3. Tender ~ Asphalt Pavement and Concrete Curb and Gutter Spot Improvements Buck: West: 4. Buck: Ostick: 5. Jones: West: Resolved that the tender of Andrew Paving and Engineering Company in the amount of $70,538.00 for Asphalt Paving and Concrete Curb and Gutter Spot Improvements for Yonge Street be accepted, And Further Be It Resolved that quantities be extended in order to make use of all the non-transferrable funds available and the Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. CARRIED Tender -Hot-Mix Asphalt (George Street) Resolved that the tender of Warren Bitulithic Limited in the amount of $17,773.95 for Hot-Mix Asphalt (George Street) be accepted and the Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. CARRIED Pro-Craft Limited Resolved that Pro-Craft Limited be granted an extension from June 16th, 1983 to September 30th, 1983 for the building of their Industrial Building. CARRIED OTHER BUSINESS 1.
