MINUTES OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER lOth, 1980 at 9:45p.m.
Present Were: Mayor Timpson, Councillors Jones, Ostick, Pedersen, Stewart and
West.
Ostick: Resolved that the 72-hour Notice of Meeting be waived.

Resolved that Saturday, September 20, 1980, be proclaimed to be "Terry
Fox Day" in the Town of Aurora.
CARRIED
Resolved that authorization and permission be granted to close the
southbound curb lane of Yonge Street from Kennedy Street to Henderson
Drive from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September
20, 1980, for the purpose of allowing runners marking "Terry Fox Day"
in the Town of Aurora to have exclusive use of the said lane.

Pedersen: Resolved that the rules of procedure of By-Law# 2270-78 be waived and
Jones: By-Law# 2387-80 be read a 1st, 2nd and 3rd time and finally approved.
