MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEDNESDAY; SEPTEMBER 26th, 1979 at 8:25p.m.
PRESENT WERE: Mayor Timpson, Councillors Isaacson, Jones, Ostick, Pedersen,
Stewart, Tonner and West.
Tonner: Resolved that the 72-hour Notice of Meeting be waived.
Jones:

IMPROVEMENTS -INDUSTRY AND WELLINGTON STREET EAST INTERSECTION
Isaacson: Be It Hereby Resolved that the Corporation of the Town of Aurora
Tonner: authorizes the Regional Municipality of York to proceed with the
intersection improvements at Industry Street and Wellington Street, East
according to the schematic diagram as prepared by Reid and Associates
and approved by the Commissioner of Engineering in Approval #42/79,
provided that sufficient subsidy funds are available from the Regional
Engineering Department Budget, and that approval through petition form
OD-MB-110 from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications is
obtained, and that the Town of Aurora agrees to pay one hundred percent
of the net Regional costs incurred after subsidy,
And Be It Further Resolved that, in the event that either insufficient
subsidy funds are available from the Regional Engineering Department
Budget or that approval of petition form OD-MB-110 by the Ministry of
Transportation and Communications is not obtained, the Town of Aurora
will honour the low tender as called and pay for the project on a 50/50
percentage basis with the Province of Ontario.
