MINUTES OF . A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON THURSDAY,
NOVEMBER 14, 1968 AT 9:30 P.M.

a special meeting of Cotincil."

Lambert Proposal A letter from the Planning Board re Lambert proposal for Old
Arena Site.
Murray: "Resolved that the recommendation of the Planning Board be accepted."

Finance Committee Councillor Illingworth presented a report of the Finance
Committee in which the Committee respectfully submitted the

The Finance Committee of the Council of the Town of Aurora met with the Finance
Committee of the Township of King on Thursday, November 14, 1968 to discuss a
parcel of land on the north side of Subway Sideroad in the Town of Aurora that
is owned by the Township of King.
The Township of King wishes to sell this property to another party and the To•rr1
of Aurora in order for the Township of King to sell this property.

"Resolved that the Town of Aurora has no requirements for the
triangular shaped pareel of land in Part of Lot 76, Concession
One, Town of Aurora, artd poncur in the sale of the property by
the Township of King."

Financial Report
Community Centre:
Mayor Davis stated that the financial report of the Aurora
Community Centre has been prepared by Mr. Dean Dunlop , Tmm
Auditor, and circulated to the members of the Council.
Trent: "Resolved that the financial statement for the Aurora Community
Williamson: Centre be accepted and that copieS be forwarded to the Community
Centre Board."

Councillor Davis stated that the Department of Transport has
declared the Jaycee's signs "Give our Kids a Brake" illegal and
that he ordered the removal of the signs and that, if possible,
the signs will be reshaped.
Deputy Reeve Williamson reported that the overhead Cross-Walk
Sign at Yonge Street and Aurora Heights Drive is broken.
Councillor Davis stated that the Works Committee will look
into the matter.
