MD!UTES OF A SPECIAL MEETim OF COUNCIL HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON
MONDAY, JUtY 22, 196S AT 7:30 P.M.

COUNCILLORS BUCK, CORBETT, DAVIS.
Mayor Davis stated that the,meeting was called to consider Committee Reports,
By-Lsws end any other business.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Works Committe;
Councillor Davis verbally reported that the Town Engineer and Town Superintendent
had studied the tenders received for patching, and read the report of the Town
Engineer,
DAVIS: "Whereas asphalt patching is req~ on various streets in the
MURRAY: Town of Aurora; And Whereas it :1-,a ~stimated 125 tons of asphalt
may be required; Therefore be it resolved that the tender
quotation of Al Chapelle Paving; dated July 15, 196S at the unit
price of $16.50 per ton laid per engineer's directions for
asphalt patching on various streets in the Town of Aurora be
accepted, subject to the approval of the Department of Highways,.
and that.the Corporate Sea:I. be attached hereto~"

amount of 1~18,525.00 and that the Seal of the
Co;rporation be attached hereto."

Property

Councillor Buck reviewed the circumstances involved in the sale of
the Petlovany Property to Mrs. Eerskovits and the possible resale of
the property by Mrs. Herskovits.
BUCK: "Resolved that the agreement signed by the Town and Mrs.
DAVIS: Herskovits be registered against the title."

Mr. McPherson stated that Mr. Miller of Miller-Vowles Limited has
promised to come on August 1st; to assess the flooding claims, but
the Council must pass a By-Law appointing Mr. Miller and containing
the assurance that the Town will not sue the Western Assurance
Company.

the Sewage Claims in the vicinity of Glass Drive, in
the Town of Aurora. 11
