MINUTES - Council Closed Session Public - 20190917 Town of Aurora Council Closed Session Public Minutes Holland Room, Aurora Town Hall Tuesday, September 17, 2019 Attendance Council Members Mayor Mrakas in the Chair; Councillors Gaertner, Gallo, Gilliland, Humfryes, Kim, and Thompson Members Absent None Other Attendees Doug Nadorozny, Chief Administrative Officer, Techa van Leeuwen, Director of Corporate Services (left at 6:35 p.m.), Vesna Barbe, Manager of Human Resources (left at 6:35 p.m.), Ben Perry, External Consultant for Technology Strategic Plan (left at 6:35 p.m.), and Michael de Rond, Town Clerk The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:47 p.m. Council consented to resolve into a Closed Session at 5:48 p.m. Council recessed the meeting at 6:55 p.m. and resumed at 8:27 p.m. Council reconvened into open session at 8:55 p.m. 1. Approval of the Agenda Moved by Councillor Gilliland Seconded by Councillor Humfryes That the confidential Council Closed Session meeting agenda be approved with the following addition. A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Town or local board (section 239(2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001); Re: Verbal information regarding a potential acquisition of land Carried 2. Declaration of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof There were no declarations of pecuniary interest under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.50. 3. Consideration of Items Requiring Discussion Moved by Councillor Humfryes Seconded by Councillor Kim That Council resolve into Closed Session to consider the following matters: 1. Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Section 239(2)(b) of the Municipal Act, 2001); Re: Closed Session Report No. CS19-036 – Human Capital Impact to the Proposed Technology Strategic Plan 2. A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Town or local board (section 239(2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001); Re: Verbal information regarding a potential acquisition of land (Added Item) Carried Moved by Councillor Thompson Seconded by Councillor Gallo That the Council Closed Session be reconvened into open session to rise and report from Closed Session.
