MINUTES - Council - 19940126II TOWN OF AURORA COUNCIL MEETING NO. 02-94 Council Chambers Aurora Town Hall Wednesday, January 26, 1994 8:00p.m. MINUTES II COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE Mayor West in the Chair; Councillors Constable, Griffith, Healy, Jones, Timpson and Weller. STAFF MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST Councillor McKenzie was absent on a family matter. Councillor Pedersen was absent on vacation. Municipal Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Director of Planning, Director of Building Administration, Director of Public Works, Director of Personnel, Director of Leisure Services, Fire Chief and Treasurer. Councillor Jones declared a potential conflict of interest in those aspects of Special Planning Advisory Committee Meeting No. 01-94 relating to the York Region Draft Official Plan and the land development application of Timberlane Tennis and Country Club by virtue of membership in that organization, and did not take part in or vote on any questiqns in this regard, or attempt in any way to influence the voting on such questions. TR94-008-021 -Petition to the Ministry of Transportation for 1993 Subsidy on Construction and Maintenance Expenditures THAT Council approve the submission to the Ministry of Transportation for the annual petition for subsidy on the expenditures made during the year 1993 in the Town of Aurora in the amount of $1 ,692,716.93. PW94-006-022-Centralized Traffic Control System - Region of York THAT Council approve the inclusion of those traffic signals under control of the Town of Aurora with a centralized traffic control system being implemented by the Regional Municipality of York. Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Councillor Healy THAT Council waive purchasing policy for the purposes of the purchase of sports lighting fixtures with respect to the requirement for an open tendering process for projects over $20,000 to permit the purchase of the light fixtures through invitational bids from agents of Hubbell sports lighting systems.
