Councillor McKenzie declared a possible Conflict of Interest in Accounts paid to Herb

Councillor Pedersen declared a possible Conflict of Interest in Accounts paid to Canada
Law Book, due to employment with same, and did not take part in or vote on any
questions in this regard, or attempt in any way to influence the voting on such questions.

DELEGATION
Crothers Limited re: Planned Purchase of the Tractor/Backhoe
for the Leisure Services Division
Mr. Chuck Johnson, on behalf of Crothers Limited, appeared to discuss Report LS93-
002-005 and Staff's recommendation that Council purchase a John Deere Industrial
Loader Backhoe. He stated that the Caterpillar 416, Series II offered by his company
would cost the Town 7% less, would provide 16% more fuel efficiency, would have a
25 % larger loading bucket, was quieter and therefore safer, was easier to maintain and
would resell in the fourth or fifth year of its life for a price approximately $3,000 greater
than the John Deere model. He agreed that the John Deere model recommended by Staff

had fewer hours of operation, but he noted that his company would insure that the
warranty of the Caterpillar matched the John Deere and would back the performance of
the machine in terms of servicing it.

THAT Council receive as information the following overview of rezoning
application Dl4-32-89 scheduled for the January 28, 1993 Public Planning
Meeting.

Tender PW1992-03. Industrial Parkway North Extension
to St. John's Sideroad. Town of Aurora

THAT the Substantial Performance Certificate in the amount of $374,250.41,
payable to Wasero Construction (1991) Ltd. be approved;
THAT the date of Substantial Performance be established as November 9, 1992;
and
THAT contract costs be charged to Capital Account 387.

Control provisions as provided in
subsection 50(5) of the Planning
Act.
Being a By-law to regulate the manner
in which persons may perform certain
actions, including construction of
access driveways and connections to
Town services (the Roadway Excavation
Control Bylaw).
Being a By-law for prescribing the
height and description of lawful
fences in the Town of Aurora, and
for requiring the owners of privately
owned outdoor swimming pools to erect
and maintain fences and gates around
such swimming pools, and to repeal
